4 Silly Things We Worry About In Our 20s

CC photo by Nina Matthews
As a twenty something year old  myself  I often worry about some of the most trivial things  at times,  so i just decided  to share my thoughts on how one   can calm and/or get rid of some of these "worries".

This post is obviously not  exclusively for  those in their twenties because we all worry about some if not all of these issues at some point in time regardless of age.

1.Not being involved in a romantic relationship

Seeing some of your friends getting hitched,  others moving from one relationship to another with  relative ease (seemingly) may lead you to ask yourself "how come i  am the only one who is not in a relationship, what`s  wrong with me " ,well here is what's wrong with you: comparing yourself  to other people that`s whats wrong with you.

Relationships are not something you go around searching for like your lost puppy, its all about “random opportunities” if I may .All you need to do is to try and always look and feel your best at all times be open to meeting new people  and if you meet a girl you like  make a move please.

2.Feeling ugly

You would think by the time most people are in their twenties they are comfortable with their physical attributes but that’s not the case unfortunately.

You  may not resemble   a famous movie star that men and /or women drool over(probably cause they have had a lot of help to make them look that ”good”),but what ever you may look like there isn't much you can do to change it beyond working out and  good hygiene practices.

You my fellow human  have to learn to be comfortable in your own skin.If you feel ugly you look ugly and if you feel sexy you look sexy that’s all I can say.

3.What if I do not get employed after  I graduate( not silly)?.

This may seem like an understandable fear  considering that at the moment many big companies are laying off workers  like yesterdays garbage.

One of the best ways to increase your employability cred is taking up internship jobs related to your major during your vacations ,this helps you make contacts with some of the more established people in  the field you want to be employed in  after graduation,

These internships also go a long way in pimping  your resume as far as experience is concerned as this will give you an edge over other fellow graduates since  experience is a greatly valued asset by prospective employers.

4.Nobody ever invites me to parties or guys nights out.

For the love of mankind you are no longer a teenager any more and really what do you benefit from these parties and nights out ?.

If you had not realized it yet your twenties  are the most life changing years of your earthly life(excuse the pun) , how and what you spend  your time (on)  will have an impact on the rest of your life so it’s a good thing that you are not invited to any booze  driven events and if you are still engaging in such trivial events/functions please stop unless you do not really care much about building a strong foundation for your life and career.

Stop craving for approval from anyone because they will never give it to you ,that I can promise you.
